In 2010, I was working as a marketing executive for a thriving tech services company. My CEO, a long-time friend and colleague, introduced me to a new client, saying, "This is Brian. He does marketing magic."

Those words struck a chord with me. For over two decades, I had been honing my ability to help companies navigate marketing to accelerate growth. From startups to established businesses, I had a knack for getting "stuck" companies unstuck, enabling them to break through plateaus and unlock new levels of success.

I realized that there was a method to my marketing madness, so I developed a set of foundational marketing frameworks that allowed me to consistently deliver results across organizations in different industries. I knew I had cracked the code. I rigorously tested these frameworks that were not just theoretical but practical and scalable, refining them to ensure their effectiveness in creating "marketing magic."

In 2016, I left my role at the large nonprofit healthcare group, where I had been delivering internal and external marketing campaigns for technology adoption. I knew I wanted to work with small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) where I could make a more significant impact with less corporate bureaucracy.

I initially founded The Value CMO, aiming to build a team of fractional CMOs to serve SMBs. The foundational frameworks I had developed around strategy and storytelling proved to be a game-changer, helping clients transform their businesses with exceptional year-over-year growth. However, I soon realized that my greatest joy comes from the people I help along the way. I have a passion for mentoring, for teaching, and for empowering others to grow their knowledge, business, and opportunity.

So, I made a bold decision. Instead of building a company of fractional CMO services for a small group of clients, I shifted my focus to mentor mid-career marketers to unlock their full potential. With passion, resilience, and the desire to share my knowledge and expertise, I launched My Marketing Map to help transform the careers of marketers by growing their value to grow their career.

I believe that current marketing "training" is either too focused on tactical skills or too financially inaccessible. As a former teacher, My Marketing Map is built to create easily accessible online courses and programs for practical and affordable marketing career development, at scale. I'm committed to bringing the best of "learning-as-a-service" to my tribe of marketers, empowering them to unlock their true potential to become the strategic leaders their organizations need.

For me, this is more than just a business. It's a way to pay forward the knowledge and experience I've gained over the years. I want to make "marketing magic" available to every mid-career marketer who is looking to develop high-value skills to become an invaluable strategic asset to their company.
